Host a Workshop
Hosting a workshop means you are bringing me to your location and group to facilitate one of my workshops or classes, which are listed below. Marketing materials are listed below along with a general ideas for marketing PDF for you. Hosts are entitled to:
- Receive the workshop/class for free
- Receive 20% of the workshop/class fee from all participants
- $5 discount for students if host gathers 10 people total per workshop (not classes)
- After successfully hosting 4 workshops/classes of 5 or more people each, a host will receive 30% fee from all future workshops/classes
A workshop is either one day and 7 hours long or two days, 7 hours each day, usually on a weekend. Each workshop is limited to 10 people. Workshops cost $75* per person (*unless it is the Usui Reiki Master Workshop or Reiju Training Workshop, which are $300 and $150 each, respecitively). A class is an hour long, usually on a weekday evening or any time on a weekend day. Classes cost $20 per person and the number of participants are only limited by the space that is available.
The host finds the location and people, usually through their current group of friends/co-workers, a meetup group, email list, etc. The location must be cost-free, such as someone’s house or apartment (as long as it can accommodate everyone), college, church, community center, outdoors (if weather permits with a back-up location planned), library, etc.
Flyers for each available workshop or class are provided below as well as a PDF list of marketing ideas. Shawn will also market the event to help reach a greater amount of people. All participants for your hosted event count towards your 20%/30% fee unless they are the personal guest of mine, in which I may choose to bring one non-paying guest, which won’t count towards your %.
The host must not SPAM, solicit on private properly, or use improper or unwanted marketing techniques as they are promoting me and my practice.
After printing out the flyer please write in the needed information such as location, date, time, your name, and your contact information.
